Located in a small plaza in Koreatown, KingChang sits right next to a popular Taiwanese drink shop. The vibe is young and lively, especially at night. Honestly, this is exactly the kind of place you want on a warm LA summer night.

🥩 Snowflake Beef + Pork Ribs — Leave the Grilling to the Pros
We ordered the snowflake beef and pork ribs, and one of the best things about KingChang is that the staff grills the meat for you.
You can tell they know what they’re doing just by watching them work. They know exactly when to flip each cut and when to take it off the grill. The snowflake beef is grilled until the fat is lightly charred and the aroma really comes through—no need to worry about overcooking your own meat while trying to keep up with the conversation.
And there’s another detail I really love: the table has a built-in soup pot right next to the grill.

You can grill your meat and cook a hot soup at the same time. For an Asian stomach that loves a warm bowl of soup, this setup is so satisfying. Take a bite of smoky, crispy barbecue, then follow it with a sip of hot soup—pure comfort.
🔥 A Paradise for Offal Lovers
KingChang specializes in beef intestines and pork intestines.
If you love that rich, fatty flavor and the crispy, slightly charred edges that come from grilling offal, this is definitely the place to try.

🥞 Seafood Pancake — Fresh Seafood, Way Too Much Green Onion
The seafood pancake came out hot and fresh, and the seafood itself was really good.
But I have to be honest—they were very generous with the green onions. 😂
I personally prefer a crispier, crunchier pancake, so this was good, but not my favorite dish of the night.

🍲 The Beef Short Rib Soup Was a Pleasant Surprise
Koreatown is packed with restaurants competing for a spot in the crowded Korean soup scene, so you really need something special to stand out.
KingChang’s beef short rib soup definitely impressed me. The beef was tender and naturally sweet, the portion was generous, and the broth was comforting and flavorful.
It’s also a great contrast to all the grilled meat. A hot bowl of soup in between bites of barbecue just hits the spot.

🌶️ That Dark, Spicy Beef Intestine Soup…?
Apparently, this is one of their popular dishes, but honestly, I didn’t quite get it. 😂
The flavor was very unique and a little hard for me to figure out, and at over $40, I’d personally save my appetite—and my money—for the barbecue and beef short rib soup if it’s your first visit.

🌙 Night Owls, Save This One
Thursday–Saturday: 4 PM–2 AM
Sunday–Wednesday: 4 PM–12 AM
There are tablets at the table, so you can order directly without constantly trying to flag down a server. The parking lot is also relatively spacious, which is definitely a plus in Koreatown.
📌 What to Order on Your First Visit

🥓 Beef or pork intestines — a must for offal lovers
What I liked most about KingChang isn’t simply that celebrities have eaten here. It’s the combination of professional table-side grilling and a built-in soup pot, making it a fun and comfortable place to spend an evening with friends.
And before you leave, don’t forget to look up at that signature wall—and take a photo.
Because who knows? Maybe one day, the spot where you’re sitting will belong to another Korean star. 😉
